The crows and the  Serpent

   Once upon a time, a pai,r of crows lived happily on a large tree. They built a nest and soon had a clutch of eggs. However, a black snake had made its home in a hole at the base of the tree. Whenever the crows laid eggs, the snake would slither up the tree and eat them. The crows were heartbroken and didn't know what to do.

One day, the female crow suggested to her mate, "We must find a way to get rid of this snake, or we'll never be able to raise our chicks." The male crow agreed and they decided to seek advice from a wise old fox who lived nearby.The fox listened to their plight and then said, "I have a plan. Early in the morning, go to the riverbank where the royal ladies come to bathe. Pick up a valuable piece of jewelry, and drop it into the hole where the snake lives."The next morning, the crows did as the fox advised. They flew to the riverbank and picked up a necklace one of the royal ladies had left on the bank while she bathed. They flew back and dropped it into the snake's hole.Soon, the maidservants noticed the missing necklace and raised an alarm. 

   

     The royal guards came searching for the necklace. Following the trail of the crows, they reached the tree and saw the shiny necklace inside the snake's hole. As the guards tried to retrieve the necklace, they disturbed the snake, which came out hissing. Seeing the dangerous snake, the guards quickly killed it to retrieve the necklace.The crows were overjoyed. Their cleverness, with the help of the wise fox, had rid them of the dangerous snake. From then on, they lived peacefully, and their eggs hatched safely into little chicks.

Moral"Wisdom and cleverness can overcome the most dangerous of threats."
