The Clever Princess and the                     Greedy King

Once upon a time, in a land far away, there was a wise and clever princess named Sophia. Sophia was beloved by her people for her intelligence and kindness.

Her father, the king, was a good man, but his brother, King Hector of a neighboring kingdom, was known for his greed and cruelty.

One day, King Hector devised a plan to seize Princess Sophia's kingdom.

He sent a message to her father, proposing a contest of wit and wisdom. The prize for winning would be half of each other's kingdom.
Trusting in his daughter's cleverness, the king agreed.King Hector arrived with a riddle he believed no one could solve. He presented a large jar filled with mixed grains of rice and beans, and said, "Separate these grains within an hour without using your hands, or you forfeit half your kingdom."Princess Sophia thought for a moment and then asked for a large sieve and a bucket of water. She placed the grains in the sieve and submerged it in the water. The beans, being heavier, sank to the bottom while the rice floated to the top. She easily scooped the separated grains into two piles.
King Hector was furious, but he couldn't deny she had won. He grudgingly handed over half of his kingdom as promised. But Sophia, in her wisdom, said, "I do not desire your land gained through greed. Let us instead make a pact of peace and help each other's people."Shamed by his greed and moved by her generosity, King Hector agreed. From that day forward, the two kingdoms prospered together in harmony and peace.
Moral of the story:

* Wisdom and kindness can overcome greed and hostility.

*This story teaches that cleverness and compassion are more powerful than greed and that true strength lies in creating harmony and understanding.
