The Magic Paint Brush
Once upon a time, there lived a poor boy named Liang in a small village in China. Liang loved to draw and dreamed of having a paintbrush so he could create beautiful paintings. But he was too poor to afford one.
One day, while Liang was walking through the forest, he found an old man who had fallen and hurt himself. Liang helped the man, and in gratitude, the old man gave him a gift—a magical paintbrush.
The old man explained, "This paintbrush will bring anything you paint to life. Use it wisely."Excited, Liang ran back to his village and began to paint. He painted a beautiful bird, and to his amazement, it flew off the paper and into the sky. He painted a stream, and fresh, clear water flowed through the village, providing water to all the villagers.
News of Liang's magical paintbrush spread quickly, and a greedy, wealthy man in the village decided he wanted the paintbrush for himself. He invited Liang to his mansion and offered him a lot of money for the brush. When Liang refused, the wealthy man stole it.
The greedy man started painting piles of gold, but the gold turned into stones. He painted food, but it became rotten. Furious, he demanded that Liang teach him how to use the brush properly. Liang agreed but warned that the brush must be used for good.To teach the greedy man a lesson, Liang painted a big ocean around the man's mansion. The man, unable to swim and trapped by the water, begged for mercy. Liang finally painted a boat to rescue him but made him promise to change his ways. From that day on, the wealthy man became generous and kind, and Liang used his magical paintbrush to help the villagers. He painted houses, food, and whatever else the people needed, ensuring that everyone lived happily and prosperously.
