Percy, the proud parrot
Once upon a time in a dense, vibrant forest, there lived a parrot named Percy. Percy was a beautiful bird with bright green feathers and a beak that glowed like a golden sunbeam. He was admired by all the other birds and animals for his beauty, but Percy had a flaw—he was vain and loved to boast about his appearance.Every day, Percy would perch on the highest branch and sing about how beautiful he was, looking down on the other animals. "Look at my feathers! Aren't they the finest in the forest?" he would squawk. The other animals grew tired of his vanity but remained silent, hoping he would change his ways.
"Tessa, please help me! I need water," Percy pleaded.Tessa looked at Percy and said, "I know of a hidden spring that still has water, but it's a long and difficult journey. If you want my help, you must promise to change your ways and help others along the way."Percy, weak and desperate, agreed without hesitation. Tessa guided Percy through the arduous journey, and along the way, they encountered many animals in need. Percy, true to his promise, helped each one. He shared his food with a hungry rabbit, guided a lost deer back to its family, and helped a tiny ant that had fallen into a ditch. Each act of kindness made Percy feel lighter and happier, and he began to understand the value of humility and helping others. When they finally reached the hidden spring, Percy drank the refreshing water and felt revitalized. From that day on, Percy was no longer the vain parrot who boasted about his beauty. Instead, he became known for his kindness and generosity. He used his beautiful voice to sing songs that lifted the spirits of others and shared stories that taught valuable lessons.
The forest flourished once again, and Percy lived a fulfilling life, surrounded by friends who admired him not just for his beauty, but for his big heart
