Eli,the proud Elephant 🐘

Classes: 3rd to 5th

English

Once upon a time, in a dense forest, there lived a mighty elephant named Eli. Eli was the largest and strongest animal in the forest, and his size and strength made him proud. He often boasted about his power and looked down upon the smaller animals.

One hot day, Eli was walking by a river when he saw a small ant struggling to climb a blade of grass. Amused by the tiny creature's efforts, Eli laughed and teased the ant, saying, "Why do you even try? You're so small and weak. You can't achieve anything."The ant, though small, was wise and replied calmly, "Size doesn't determine one's worth, Eli. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.

"Eli ignored the ant's words and continued to boast about his strength. As he walked further, he saw a hunter setting up traps in the forest. Eli, being strong and confident, thought he could easily handle any threat. But as he ventured closer, he accidentally stepped into a trap and found himself stuck. He tried to free himself, but the more he struggled, the tighter the trap became. Eli trumpeted for help, but the other animals, remembering his arrogance, were hesitant to come to his aid. All except the tiny ant, who decided to help Eli despite his earlier mockery. The ant quickly gathered her friends, and together, they bit through the ropes of the trap, freeing Eli. Humbled and grateful, Eli realized that even the smallest creatures could perform mighty deeds.

From that day on, Eli no longer boasted about his strength. He treated all the animals with respect, understanding that everyone had their own unique abilities and value.

Moral:

"True strength lies in humility and recognizing the worth of others, regardless of their size or appearance."
