TOWERS OF RAINFALL

*Forests cover approximately 31% of Earth's land area and play a crucial role in maintaining the health of our planet.
*There are several types of forests that can be found in different regions around the world.

Indian forests can be broadly divided into 5 types-

Tropical Evergreen and Semi Evergreen Forests

Tropical Deciduous Forests

Tropical Thorn Forests

Montane Forests

Littoral and Swamp Forests

*One common type of forest is the tropical rainforest, which can be found near the equator and receives a high amount of rainfall.

*These forests are incredibly biodiverse, home to a wide variety of plant and animal species.
* Another type of forest is the temperate forest, which can be found in regions with four distinct seasons.

*These forests have a mix of deciduous and coniferous trees and provide important habitats for many wildlife species.
      * In addition to tropical and temperate forests, there are also boreal forests, which are found in the northern regions of the world, such as Canada, Russia, and Scandinavia.

*These forests are characterized by their cold climate and predominance of coniferous trees.
 *  Mangrove forests are another type of forest found in coastal regions, where trees grow in saline water and provide important habitats for marine wildlife.

* Each type of forest plays a unique role in the ecosystems they are a part of, and it is crucial that we work to protect and preserve these valuable natural resources for future generations.
