   Let's preserve the Planet's pulse

"Good health and well- being" This sustainable development goal is interrelated to Biodiversity. 

   Understanding biodiversity is the first step toward protecting it.

Let's Define:

  Bio Diversity means the diversity of life in nature—all the animals, plants, and ecosystems that make the Earth vibrant and alive.

* Every species matters. Awareness today means survival tomorrow.




*The International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) is celebrated on May 22 every year.

*This year, the International Bio Diversity Day will be celebrated in Amaravati.

* The Theme for this year is, “Harmony with Nature for Sustainable Development”

* On the occasion of May 22 – International Day for Biological Diversity, under the guidance of the Andhra Pradesh State Biodiversity Board, Chairman Mr. Vijay Kumar and Member Secretary Mr. Ramakrishna, IFS, have directed the organization of various student competitions.

*As part of this initiative, various Competitions were conducted to the students.

Led the programme successfully in Chittoor (Erstwhile) District.

1. Essay Writing Competition:

   Topic: Harmony with Nature and Sustainable  Development

2. Quiz Competition:
Topic: World Biodiversity and Its Conservation
Note: Both the above programs  conducted online only.
3. Drawing Competition:

  Students are required to draw their favorite animal or a nature landscape on white cloth.
  

It was conducted offline on 15th May 2025 at Sri Padmavathi Women's Polytechnic College, Tirupathi at 9:30 A.M.onwards.

  

  

   Learners from various Schools across the district participated in these competitions online and offline.

     

    Prizes  awarded to the top three participants in each category.

Winners are encouraged with prizes and certificates. Prize distribution was celebrated in a grand manner on 21/05/2025 at Sri Padmavathi Mahila University, Tirupathi. 




     

     







 


   



    Respected Vice chancellor , Registrar, Principal of Sri Padmavathi Women's Polytechnic College, Tirupathi and some other faculty of SPW University encouraged our students and gave awareness about Biodiversity, Women Empowerment etc topics.


  



Why did Today matter?

     It was absolutely  a great day.

  Lessons in Silence:

* Nice Coordination and execution of the competitions  &Great selection of Venue.

* we had an amazing experience today at Sri Padmavathi Women's University, Tirupathi.we met Respected vice chancellor and Registrar. They are very approachable and admirable. Its not hyperbole to say that they are the Live examples of Women Empowerment 🙏💐
Thank you very much.


* Competitions develop team spirit and good Communication among the learners.
 * Enhances Creativity and improves critical thinking.
   *Encourages Curiosity.
 * Good and great awareness about Biodiversity and the importance of conservation and sustainable development.
  * Certificates and prizes work as trigger for further learning.
  Hence, its an extraordinary day.💐
