  The Crocodile and the Bird

Once upon a time, in a beautiful forest, there was a wide, serene river. In this river lived a large crocodile. He was feared by all the animals due to his sharp teeth and powerful jaws.

One day, the crocodile was swimming near the riverbank, basking in the sun, when he noticed a small bird flying around him.The bird, a little kingfisher, was bravely hopping from one rock to another, searching for fish.

The crocodile watched the bird with curiosity and eventually asked, "Aren't you afraid of me, little bird? I could easily catch and eat you."The kingfisher replied cheerfully, "Why should I be afraid? You haven't harmed me. Besides, I believe in helping others, and I think you could use a friend."The crocodile was surprised by the bird's response and asked, "What do you mean? How can a small bird like you help a big, powerful crocodile like me?"The kingfisher noticed that the crocodile's teeth were filled with bits of food, causing him discomfort. "I can help you by cleaning your teeth," the bird offered.

The crocodile, though skeptical, agreed to give it a try. He opened his mouth wide, and the kingfisher carefully picked out the food bits stuck between the crocodile's teeth. The crocodile felt immense relief and thanked the kingfisher. From that day on, the little bird would come every morning to clean the crocodile's teeth, and the crocodile would ensure the bird had a safe place to fish.

One day, a hunter arrived in the forest, aiming to catch the crocodile. The kingfisher saw the hunter setting up traps along the riverbank and immediately flew to warn the crocodile. "Dear friend, a hunter has set traps to catch you! You must hide deep in the river until it is safe."The crocodile heeded the bird's warning and hid in the deepest part of the river. The hunter waited for hours, but the crocodile never appeared. Frustrated, the hunter eventually left the forest. The crocodile emerged from his hiding place, grateful for the bird's timely warning."You saved my life, little bird," the crocodile said, deeply moved. "Thank you for being such a good friend."The kingfisher replied, "That's what friends are for. We look out for each other."From that day on, the crocodile and the kingfisher became the best of friends. The other animals in the forest, seeing their unlikely friendship, learned that true friendship knows no bounds and that even the mightiest can benefit from the help of the smallest.

Moral:

True friendship is built on mutual help and trust, regardless of differences in size or strength.
