   Let me grab your attention towards a new and effective learning technique of the contemporary Educational Era.

Let me start this article with a quotation related to Lev Vygotsky’s theory of learning.
 
“What a child can do in cooperation today, he can do alone 
 tomorrow.”



     NEP-2020 prioritized learner-centered education to attain quality of education. It is highly possible with “Authentic Learning”.

There is a great need to repair and recover the Post pandemic educational scenarios. So in this context, Digital tools are helpful to bridge the learning slots.
Hence, Let’s have a glance at my perspectives on
              “AUTHENTIC LEARNING WITH DIGITAL TOOLS.”

  



                       


CONCEPT:


    AUTHENTIC LEARNING is an instructional approach which enables the learners to connect the classroom content to the real-world issues, problems and applications. When we integrate digital skills in this learning process, it will become more effective and vibrant. 

   

    

ATTRIBUTES OF AUTHENTIC LEARNING IN EDUCATION

  
  




* Authentic Learning is not about memorizing the facts, but using that knowledge in meaningful and practical way.
* Learners can handle real-world problems, work collaboratively and engage in hands-on activities. While using digital skills in it, learners attract to this and participate in the process enthusiastically.
* It supports creating new things rather than  by hearting the concepts.
It allows learners to explore scientific inventions and develops scientific temper.
* Integrating digital skills in the learning process encourages students to think critically, analyse the information (data) and solve complex problems.

  

      

* Online collaboration offers endless possibilities for creating interactive and engaging learning experiences.
* Learning becomes more dynamic and impactful through simulations and animations.
* This dynamic approach emphasizes real-world application, critical thinking and student engagement.
* Learners uses gadgets that make learning more interactive and fun.
* They are eager to navigate new educational apps to enhance the learning experience.
* Emerging Technology in Education such as AI skills etc expands educational access.
* It develops leadership skills while participating in the team works. 

    

     It is a suggestable instructional approach for the holistic development of the learners. 
                   

 EDUCATIONAL IMPLICATIONS OF  AUTHENTIC LEARNING WITH DIGITAL TOOLS 

 

  

 One of the major implications of using authentic learning with digital tools is involvement of the users in the transaction process. They engage in virtual reality experiences and enjoy joyful learning. 
     As a facilitator of the Global Language, I feel immense pleasure to adopt this authentic learning with digital tools in my classroom transaction.


    *Covid Pandemic has reduced the listening interest among the learners. Shared Audio links of podcast, pod been etc, 

  * Train announcements, Online story audios, audio conversations, Digital Debates, Slogans, rhymes, tongue twisters etc through IFPS, 

  *Class room whatsap groups and encouraged them to listen and create audio recordings.
  * Once they create the recordings, they shared to their peer group and receive feedback vice versa. It is a useful strategy to develop listening skill. * Learners enthusiastically    Learners participates in the learning aspect by collecting information beyond the content through navigating web browsers and integrate it with Digital Tools.

   To enhance the speaking skill of the 21st century learners , I followed different strategies integrating authentic learning with digital tools.

 * Reciprocating conversations online and offline, Multimedia presentations of the contemporary issues,

  *  Video makings of slogans and proverbs, Online storytelling, role-plays, encouraging the learners to participate in online and off line impromptu (Extempore), etc. Children form into groups and share their opinions online and offline. It is a successful strategy which I felt.

 * E-books, Note-taking, summarizing and paraphrasing, Blog readings, Reading flipbooks, Reading biographies and autobiographies through navigating educational apps, Poster preparations, etc are encouraged to strengthen the reading habits of the learners. 
* Provided opportunities to watch online interviews and encouraged to interview the local artists, 

   * Watch Mono- actions, suggested to read moral stories online and offline and write reflections, give feed back to the peer group. 
  * Knowledge is constructed rather than transferred. The transaction process should be user centered. 

  * The process should be vibrant and active with learner’s participation. Experienced learning should be prioritized in our class room. 

  Authentic Learning with digital tools supports Self-Learning and idea-generation.
    
       So, Let’s encourage our Master minds with the updated   Instructional technique.
