Planning of a Pragmatic Project work

    

             PRAGMATIC PROJECT WORK

  NEP 2020 suggests that  teaching learning process should be pragmatic.It should be Child_Centered.It also suggests Learning by doing. Holistic development of the learner is possible with Experienced Learning.

      So with this suggestion I have assigned a project work to our school 8th class students  which encouraged them to identify the local artists  and interview them.

Title of the project::

         Identify the local artists in your village and interview them.

    

      Learners are very active to participate in thus. There are 3stages in it.

1)Preparatory Work 2) Process 3)Post project

          Preparatory work:

1) I have divided the class room into some groups.   It encourages their  TEAM SPIRIT and scope for PEER LEARNING

2) Facilitated the  learners to prepare a questionnaire to interview the local artists who are not famous in their village( Karvetinagar, Chittoor district,A.P)

 Questionnaire

 1) What is Your Name?(Artist Name)

 2)Where were you born?

3) Say about your parents?

4)Who is your Guru?/How did you learn this art?

5)How much are you  earning?

6)Are you satisfied with this art?

7) Do you think your product has demand?Can you say Why or Why not?

8)What is the raw materials for this product?

9)Where do you get the raw material?

10)Do you teach this art to anybody?

11)What are the problems/Challenges are you facing in this field?

12)Do you give any message?

       With these questions they prepared for the interview.

  I took permission from our Respected Headmistress to take children community visit.

She supported and responded positively.

Post _Project work

      Learners interviewed many artists in their locality and presented portfolios of project reports in the classroom.

     Feedback given by the PEER group

     Teacher's version feedback is negotiated in the class room.

  Expected outcomes of the project:

      I )Scope for Experienced Learning

      2)Develops Scientific temper

      3) A chance for learning by doing

      4)Enriches vocational awareness

      5)Increases team spirit

      6)An opportunity for peer learning.
