International Literacy Day-2025

🌍 INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY-2025📚📝

     Hello Readers!🙏💐
   Let's know about today's special

Literacy forms the foundation for people to gain wider knowledge, skills, values, attitudes, and behaviours that nurture a culture of lasting peace. It is rooted in respect for equality, non-discrimination, the rule of law, solidarity, justice, diversity, and tolerance, helping to build harmony within oneself, with others, and with the planet.

However, according to an educational survey, as of 2024, nearly 739 million youth and adults worldwide still lack basic literacy skills. In addition, 4 out of 10 children fail to reach minimum proficiency in reading, while about 272 million children and adolescents remained out of school in 2023.

Since 1967, International Literacy Day has been observed every year on 8th September across the globe. Initiated by UNESCO.

 It aims

*To raise awareness about the importance of literacy.

*To emphasize accessible education for all.

*To celebrate the power of reading and writing, uphold the right to education, and focus on reducing the global education gap while promoting lifelong learning.
